About TimezoneHop
TimezoneHop answers two questions as quickly as possible: what time is it there, and what time will it be there when it is a certain time here.
Where our times come from
Every clock on TimezoneHop is calculated in your browser from the IANA time zone database, the same source used by phones, computers and operating systems around the world. It contains every time zone rule and every daylight saving change, so the times you see follow the same rules as your own devices.
City names, locations and populations come from GeoNames, published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Sunrise and sunset times use the solar position method published by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
How accurate the clocks are
The live clocks use your device's clock, so they are as accurate as your device. Time zone rules are updated whenever a country changes them, and every page is rebuilt each day so that dates such as the next daylight saving change are always current.
